We, the citizens of India are independent yet chained to the decrees of Restriction's slaves. On one hand we boast of being a secular nation, an independent nation encouraging people to take up research work, to be *innovative*, lamenting of our failure at the world stage; on the other hand we chuck out ideas of the enthusiasts like being in slavery without any ideas or aspirations. You love to make people knowledgeable, love to train them; but all you want from them is mere slavery. A form of slavery where you can neither speak your ideas nor be able to convince people that for an amateur its a huge leap.
The institute boasts of lots of research works. It asks students to be innovative, to think on new ideas. While the idea is rather slogging for most of the students, the very few who get en-thrilled by it and want to work ahead, the road is not easy. The introductory class gives wings to a budding students' dreams, makes him feel that "yes, i can work on my ideas here. My ideas will be encouraged here" --- but mind you; this is an illusion. The student is given the freedom to choose from three luring fields of defining oneself --- survey, research, review. The student chooses research based, starting to already day-dream of making it a perfect one and getting some recognition and also gain some valuable practical knowledge. Little does he know that it is a delusion, a mere trap by the teacher to make him enthusiastic and then shatter his dreams like glass. Meanwhile, the student using his limited imagination and knowledge comes up with some topics which are termed as being repeated by the teacher. Not losing hope, he jumps to the survey option and volunteers to work hard to gain a respectable survey paper. But the teacher is hell bent on making him do only the review paper. And the Institute boasts of giving full freedom to the students.
So, if all the teacher wants is a review paper why does he gives freedom to the students of choosing??
In this hypo critic world of changing perceptions, where do the students stand. On one hand they are given Freedom; on the other hand Restriction stands tall. In midst of this, the students in great dilemma are almost trampled to death.
Freedom has committed a grave mistake by marrying Restriction. Yes, freedom should not be without conditions, its true so as to keep a check on its outgrowth, but it should not receive bribes from Restriction to limit its boundaries before its optimum level. One should keep a balance on both of them not form a see-saw of them. So, its a message to my patient readers who bore with my grievances to keep a thought in mind:::
"Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves!!!"
